She takes this opportunity to have meaningful and worthwhile conversations with highly regarded individuals in their field of expertise.

In a thought-provoking yet moving episode, The Awaken To Your Real Power Podcast gladly welcomes Anmol, Head yoga teacher at Govardhan School of Yoga. Anmol has been exposed to fitness and sports since childhood and shares with us his shift from sports to yoga. He took up various courses along with teacher training at Yoga Vidya Gurukul, especially to explore the importance of Yogic practice in different sports. Anmol believes that yoga is all about challenging your limits and reaching new stages of physical and mental strength. He has a unique dynamic way of teaching yogic practices with a big smile & a positive attitude which is more to be experienced than explained. Students stay inspired even during intensive training due to his joyful nature & sense of humor. He has stayed and completed his classical & advanced yoga training under the great teachers from the traditional set-up of Sivananda Ashram, Kerala. Anmol’s further training in Ashtanga Yoga, Mysore made him discover an exclusive approach to bring together the traditional practices of the east with modern yoga techniques. His special interests are reflected through his teachings in anatomy, alignment & adjustments in technique classes. Anmol also took certified training in yoga therapy which makes it easy for him to recognize an individual’s needs with respect to modifications, variations, and pose-adaptations in the classroom. His yoga practice certainly extends off the mat as compassion for all forms of life. At Govardhan Eco-village, Anmol conducts Asana & Pranayama Yoga classes, technique classes & continues his spiritual practices with Vaishnava Tradition.

Being a passionate yet also certified yoga teacher, Anmol introduces yoga to us from a not so larger than life perspective, bringing the topics of fitness, enthusiasm, determination, and spirituality into the activity. He calls his transition from fitness and sports to yoga a fascinating experience for very obvious reasons, considering the evident differences between the two. How yoga brought him to practice gratitude, strength, and control are key learnings which shaped him into becoming the composed human he is today. It is very common for people to resort to yoga for a daily stretching exercise, but we realize today that stretching is only 2 items in a 10-course meal. Anmol makes us rightly understand the importance of considering our body as our temple and also adds that his teachings could be for anyone and need not follow a course, for yoga is a lifestyle that you develop. As an episode highlight, Roma reveals how yoga has become a favorite and compelling routine for her, and that days become very easy and relaxed when she practices it.

For Anmol, yoga is not limited to a mat activity, yoga for him is any activity or process to which the spirit connects. Even if it’s a nine-to-five job, finding your soul happy in the process of that would make it yoga. Anmol finds happiness in teaching and even plays video games with the kids in his ashram, introducing the huge role of connection and bond creation in yoga to everyone in his unique way.

Though yoga seems to create an all-curing attitude in certain people, we are made to understand its limitations. Yoga, though very effective in mind building, cannot be considered effective against every human illness and people need to register in their minds the reach of yoga in everyday life.

Also sharing with us his love for animals, Anmol makes us know compassion and care as things to be shared with all forms of life equally. Equally important is valuing every being inferior to us and not exploiting them for our personal happiness, for the ones who exploit are to face greater repercussions. We are also introduced to the importance of making positive associations and the role of a guru (teacher) in one’s life, in empowering you to take your life decisions and opening the closed doors in our minds, making clear that a guru is not somebody to spoon-feed you, but is rather somebody who’d guide you towards the right path. Host Roma too has such vivid and beautiful reasons to offer for bringing yoga into our lives, that anybody listening to the show is sure to feel the power.

Anmol finds yoga to carve out a 2.0 version of ourselves into life. If you wish to experience the magnitude of this powerful conversation yourself, tune in to the complete episode of today and awaken to your real power!
