Hatha yoga is an intense, (yet!) slow paced style of yoga - it is actually the oldest style of yoga. You will be consciously moving into every pose while bringing your undivided attention to the anatomical parts of the body that is being compressed and stretched. Asana means Posture and Existence. Apart from stretching and opening your physical body, Hatha yoga opens up the mind and syncs the intellect and inner spirit.
Pranayama (Breathing techniques) is important not only to supply fresh oxygen and strengthen the lungs, also has direct effect on the brain and emotions. Correct breathing techniques can help open up your mind and boost your creativity. Through your breath you can tap into your Prana (vital energy) which is used to access awareness and consciousness. Your breath is your eyes to see inwards.
Meditation: the monkey brain is very restless and energetic - it functions constantly. Meditation is the best way to calm, relax and control the irregularities of the mind. Guided meditation is very important to pause, reset and recharge the mind.

We could all do with a bit more of self-control, self-awareness, and self-confidence in our children. Yoga is concerned with the evolution of mind and body. The sooner our kids are introduced to this science of self realization, the faster they will master the art and rise to their true potential. The most important skill we can teach our kids is to be centered and control the irregularities of the minds.
Children will understand and explore their bodies like never before, while maintaining flexibility as well as opening up their minds to build greater intelligence and strength. Kids also work in pairs and learn to explore each other's uniqueness and see how we are all woven together for a greater cause. Social behavior and sense of community rises.
Kids start to understand a sense of purpose, they will become confident, brave, and lead from within, while learning to love who they truly are. Their bodies and mind will be purified, by learning to meditate for a few minutes in every class.I strongly believe that yoga creates children who are bright lights in this world, increasing self-awareness and strengthening their bodies and minds.
